KING OF THE SEA
Over four decades have passed since the first Marex Boat was launched in Norway. The Marex boatyard was established in 1973 in Grimstad, a small town on the south coats of Norway. The founder of Marex and General manager for over 20 years was Eyvin Aalrud. The Marex boatyard become very soon a success thanks to the farsightedness of Eyvin Aalrud. During this time Marex has remained a family company, gradually becoming one of the most solid European boat manufacturers in a very volatile business.
The company is today owned and run by his two sons Espen and Thomas. Both brothers were born into the Boat industry and have been driven by boundless passion for boats and the family business since they took over in 1989. This has been achieved through excellent leadership and consistent investment in advanced boat building technology.
Today Marex Boats is stronger and bigger than ever and known all over Europe for its quality, longevity and durability. The proof of this is all the Awards and Commendations Marex has received over the last decade in the national and international arena.
2022 Marex has been awarded again with the European Powerboat of the Year Award for our newest model – Marex 330 Scandinavia. Marex has been chosen to be the best boat in Europe below 40 foot.Â
The new Marex 330 has been praised in the foreign press and also won the prestigious award BOB Award ( Best of Boats) in November 2021 in Berlin.
This is the fourth time Marex has won European Powerboat of the Year Award and is now one of the most awarded boat manufacturers in Europe of all times.

NEW/PREMIER 2022! - MAREX 330 Scandinavia
The new Marex 330 Scandinavia was designed as a smaller version of the Marex flagship – Marex 375 and as the next edition of the former Marex Scandinavia. It is a fully planing boat. The hull and deck are completely new. Our previous customers wished for a closed boat with a generous sitting area inside as well as a large sitting area outside and that is what we developed!
The cruising speed is from 23 to 30 knots and top speed from 28 to 38 depending on the engine power chosen. When properly enclosed the 330 Scandinavia is warm and makes the summer season last longer in the northern regions.
